Dr. Jasmin Divers
Dr. Jasmin Divers
is a biostatistician and statistical geneticist with over 20 years of experience in these fields. After graduating from the Center for Planning and Applied Economics (CTPEA) in Haiti, Dr. Divers started his career as a survey statistician and applied economist at the Haitian Institute of Statistics and Informatics (IHSI) before moving to the United States. He then earned a PhD in statistics from the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Stony Brook University. He also completed a fellowship in statistical genetics at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Dr. Divers has broad expertise in designing and conducting large national and multisite studies, including multicenter randomized clinical trials, national surveys, and large observational studies. Dr. Divers has a broad research portfolio in several clinical areas, including projects on type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, cognitive function, cerebrovascular and cardiovascular disease, stroke, aging, chronic and end-stage kidney disease, and kidney transplant outcomes. Dr. Divers has served as Principal Investigator or Multiple Principal Investigator on numerous NIH and Centers for Disease Control grants and Cooperative Agreements.
