Completed her residency in periodontics and implant dentistry from Universidade Paulista’s Instituto de Ciencias da Saude, in Brazil; she earned her MS in biomedical informatics from Pitt and completed postdoctoral training in molecular biology and microbial genetics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Corby holds a primary appointment as professor of radiation oncology in the School of Medicine and a secondary appointment as professor of periodontics and preventive dentistry in the School of Dental Medicine, where she additionally serves as a senior advisor for clinical and translational research. She is the inaugural Associate Vice Chancellor for Clinical Trials Development and Operations at the University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences, where she leads strategy, infrastructure, and partnerships to expand high-impact clinical research and secure competitive, multicenter funding. A professor of radiation oncology and periodontics with senior advisory roles in clinical and translational research, she has held leadership positions at Penn and NYU, directing large-scale clinical research operations including advancing Phase I–IV clinical trials. Dr. Corby’s work focuses on integrating medical and dental care to improve population health and prevent systemic complications, bringing deep expertise in translational science, research operations, and collaborative innovation.
