What are cookies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, serve the same purpose. They help a site work, remember your choices and understand usage.
What we use
- Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to work and stay secure. This includes remembering your cookie choice (stored as
icts_cookie_consentin your browser’s local storage) and your light or dark display preference. These do not need consent. - Analytics and performance. We use Google Analytics, when it is enabled for the site, to understand how visitors use the website (such as pages viewed and approximate location) so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies such as
_gaand_ga_*. We load it only if you choose “Ok” on the cookie banner, and never if you choose “No”. Google acts as our service provider; see how Google uses data. You can also opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Your choices
On each visit, the banner lets you accept all cookies (“Ok”) or use essential cookies only (“No”). We record that choice in local storage (icts_cookie_consent) and hide the banner for the rest of that visit. A new visit shows the banner again. Closing the banner with the X also hides it for that visit only.
If you previously accepted and now want to opt out, choose “No” on the next visit and delete the _ga cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may then not work as expected.
Embedded content or services from other providers may set their own cookies. Their policies govern them.
